Adam co-founded Rohan Short with Craig in 2023. He has worked in the construction industry since leaving school in 2007 and has extensive experience delivering private-sector developments in Bristol, London and across the UK.
His expertise spans mixed-use, residential and commercial developments, including complex new-build and refurbishment projects. He also has significant experience in the industrial and logistics sector, advising on warehouse, distribution and trade-counter developments.
Adam began his career in building surveying, studying part-time while working for a building contractor in Brighton. After moving to London in 2013, he transitioned into quantity surveying and began studying for a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Management alongside his work for a specialist residential contractor.
He moved into cost consultancy in 2015, completing his degree in 2016 and qualifying as a chartered quantity surveyor the following year. Since then, Adam has advised on projects ranging from large-scale residential-led regeneration schemes and high-rise developments to major commercial offices and industrial facilities. His experience covers the full project lifecycle, from early feasibility and cost planning through procurement, construction and completion.
After relocating to Bristol in 2021, Adam continued to lead major residential and commercial developments before helping to establish the Bristol office of a specialist industrial consultancy. This broadened his regional experience and further strengthened his expertise in the industrial and logistics market.
Alongside his role at Rohan Short, Adam is an RICS APC assessor and enjoys supporting the next generation of chartered surveyors.
