Usha joined Rohan Short in 2024 and has since progressed to the role of Project Surveyor. Alongside their work, Usha completed a part-time master’s degree in Quantity Surveying at the University College of Estate Management, graduating in 2026. Usha is now working towards becoming a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Since joining Rohan Short, Usha has gained experience across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, working on projects at both pre- and post-contract stages. Their experience includes cost planning, procurement and tender analysis, as well as ongoing cost management throughout construction. Through this work, Usha has developed a strong understanding of project delivery and a collaborative approach to working with clients, design teams, and contractors.
Before beginning their career in quantity surveying, Usha studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Bristol, graduating in 2020. During their studies, they completed an internship in the office of the Mayor of Bristol, supporting the Mayor’s policy advisers across a range of policy areas and assisting with cabinet meetings and events. Following graduation, Usha worked for Bristol City Council as a specialist citizen adviser before moving into quantity surveying and joining Rohan Short.
