Ollie, Usha, and Chris attended an insightful panel discussion on Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), wellbeing, and integration in Bristol and the broader region. The event examined both on-campus and off-site developments, focusing on how to achieve community integration. A case study on the Purdown View development, presented by Stride Treglown, illustrated efforts to reconnect and unify the campus. The panel, featuring representatives from Stride Treglown, Savills, and Cushman and Wakefield, discussed the theme "Campus Bubble or City Pulse." With high housing demand—1 PBSA bed per 3.5 students—the seminar addressed key issues, including the relationship between build-to-rent developments and HMOs, emphasising the importance of accommodation tailored to each phase of student life. This event was the latest in the series “Shaping Future Places” by Stride Treglown in collaboration with Design West.
